Meet our hosts of 2017!
ROBIN: Robin has always been a busy person with an active mind. She grew up participating in sports – she must have tried nearly every offering in my school. Robin went on to study editorial journalism in college, and during those four years, wasn’t as active as she would have preferred. Post college, Robin quickly found herself seeking different styles of workouts to feel good physically. It took a friend two years of urging her to try a yoga class before she finally set foot in a studio. After about six months of practicing yoga, Robin realized that it had an affect on her that was far greater than physical. It calmed her mind in a way no other form of physical movement had before. Her stressful job became manageable.
As life changed – marriage, two kids – her yoga practice remained consistent. Robin's time on her mat offers her the stillness she needs to balance out all of her other responsibilities and challenges that life has to offer. Sharing that experience with her yoga students is a gift.
Robin's practice and her teaching are ever evolving. While vinyasa yoga is her favorite style of yoga to both practice and teach, Robin has studied many different methods of yoga with numerous master teachers and appreciates the beauty in all styles. She earned my 200 Yoga Alliance certification through Tiffany Cruikshank of Yoga Medicine. Robin is in the process of working towards her 500 hour certification with YogaMedicine.

HANNAH AND PABLO: Hannah moved to Los Angeles at 20 years old, shortly after, she began traveling internationally and eventually found herself moving around the world every three to six months for the following eight years. Much of that time spent abroad she was able to study and train with some of the most influential yogis in the business today, continuing her education through immersions, conferences, workshops, intensives, and plenty of self study.
Pablo, an Austin native, attended university at UT Austin. Instead of taking the three years necessary to finish school, Pablo chose to travel abroad every other semester and took five. International travel opened Pablo's eyes to the world at large and integrated life experience into Pablo's learning environment.
Hannah met Pablo at Play Acro Yoga festival in Austin, Texas and found many uncanny parallels between them. Their love of travel and passion for the connection found in Acro Yoga has led them to be inseparable since. Traveling together throughout the United States Pablo and Hannah have trained together as Acro partners since March '16.
Hannah began studying Acro Yoga while living in Medellin, Colombia in late '14, early '15 with the international AY teacher Justin Caruso. She went on to travel around the USA reaping knowledge from the best acrobats and teachers she could find from south Florida to Los Angeles. Hannah earned her TT qualification from Daniel Scott's Yoga of Trust in Austin, Texas. From there she went back to San Diego and studied under Jan-Luc at the San Diego circus Center. Hannah met Pablo only three months after he began his journey into acrobatics at Play Acro Yoga Festival and they have been training together for the last 10 months. Pablo credits much of his knowledge of hand balancing and hand to hand to his life partner but has remained largely self-taught.
Hannah and Pablo's fun approach to Acro Yoga keeps everyone smiling while maintaining a focus on safety, slow strengthening movement, intention, connection, and breath. Hannah and Pablo hope to bring together their knowledge of Yoga and Acro Yoga to create a community center in the future.
